The Glennie Lions Annual Rifle Raffle- Is going on now thru Saturday, November 28th. The ticket booth is open every Friday & Saturday next to Rogers Family Foods in Glennie or from any Glennie Lions Club member. Tickets $1 each, 6 for $5. 1st Prize- a hunting rifle with scope; 2nd Prize- a Pump Shotgun; 3rd Prize- a Crossbow. Drawing will be held Saturday, November 28th, 7pm, in the Rogers parking lot. Need not be present to win.

A Trunk or Treat- will be held on Halloween, Saturday, October 31st, 5-7pm, in the Plainfield Township Fire Department parking lot, 220 N. M-65, in Hale. All are welcome.

The Tawas Bay Eagles-, on U.S. 23 in East Tawas will hold a Halloween Costume Party Saturday, October 31st from 7-11pm. Good music and spooky vibes. All are welcome. For more information call 989-362-3201.

The AuGres Anchor Pub-, on U.S. 23 just north of AuGres, will hold a Halloween Party Saturday, October 31st, beginning at 8pm. Costume contests with cash prizes, karaoke and dance music.

A Fall Walk- will be held Saturday, October 31st, 9am, at Oscoda High School, 3550 E. River Road, Oscoda. Walk the Iosco Exploration Trail then enjoy apple cider, hot cocoa, sliced apples with dipping sauce and doughnut holes. There will also be a My Michigan Fall Gift Basket Raffle.

The Oscoda AuSable Senior Center- will hold their 7th annual Trunk or Treat, Halloween, Saturday, October 31st, 6-8pm, at Center, 653 S. State Street, Oscoda. All are welcome. For more information call 989-820-0305.

The East Tawas Business Association- presents their Downtown Halloween Parade & Trick or Treating, Saturday, October 31st: 
4pm:

Parade Lineup in front of the East Tawas Post Office on Newman Street. Kids in costume, parents, strollers, wagons and friendly dogs welcome.
4:30pm:

Parade begins down Newman Street to Bay Street. Downtown Trick or Treating immediately following the parade.

The Cast Iron Grill- will host a Halloween Bash Saturday, October 31st, 6-10pm, 3496 Indian Lake Road, National City. Halloween Costume Contest with winners announced at 9pm. St. Mary Catholic Church-, on M-72, Mio will host Indoor Trick Or Treat Halloween, Saturday, October 31st, 5:30-7pm. Trunk or Treat style booths in the Parish Hall with free hot dogs, popcorn and water. For more information call 989-745-4611.

The Alcona National Honor Society- will host Coffee For Veterans, Sunday, November 1st, 2-4pm, in the Alcona High School Auditorium lobby, 51 N. Barlow Road in Harrisville. Coffee, snacks, prizes and ceremonies. All area Veterans welcome.

Dean Arbour Ford- will hold a Blood Drive Monday, November 2nd, 9:30am-2pm, in the dealership showroom, 55 W. M-55 Tawas City. Huron Pines- will host an Invasive Shrub Workshop, Wednesday, November 4th, 3-5pm, at the Rose City, Lupton Area Chamber of Commerce, 310 North Williams Street, Rose City. Learn how to identify and manage common invasive shrubs on your property. Registration required by visiting Huron Pines.Org.

The Tawas Music Boosters 52nd Annual Bazaar & Craft Show- will be held Saturday, November 7th, 9am-3pm, at Tawas Area High School on M-55 in Tawas City. Over 145 vendors, food trucks, Apple Dumpling Sale and Quilt Raffle. Proceeds benefit the Tawas Music Programs.

The 11th annual AuGres-Sims PTO Holiday Bazaar- will be held Saturday, November 7th, 9am-3pm, at the Elementary Building, 310 South Court street, enter at the front doors. Shop for great gifts from local vendors.

The Tawas Bay Art Gallery- will host “Empty Bowls” Saturday, November 7th, 11am-3pm, at the Gallery, 302 Newman Street, East Tawas. Buy unique handmade bowls by local potters and get a voucher for soup from local restaurants. Plus a silent auction of fine art from local artists and a gift basket raffle. The free Workshop “Learn to Compost in Your Backyard-” will be held Saturday, November 7th, 9:30-11:30am at the East Tawas Library, 760 Newman Street, East Tawas. KJC Country- Welcomes country singer John Berry to the Aplex in Alpena Friday, December 11th. Doors open at 6:30pm, show starts at 8pm. Registration is open for the 4-H Underwater ROV Club-. Open to ages 12-19, members design and build a remotely operated vehicle to compete at the 2027 Marine Advanced Technology Education ROV Competition in Alpena. Bingo: The Alcona County Commission- on Aging hosts Bingo the first and third Monday of every month at 2pm in the Senior Center Dining Hall, 207 South Church Street, Lincoln. Coffee and popcorn available too.

Community Supper: The Collective by Tawas Wellness- hosts a Community Supper The first Monday of each month from 4-6:30pm at 821 Newman Street, East Tawas with a menu with burgers and seafood and weekly special. To go orders at 989-305-6322.

Bingo: The Mikado Goodfellows- host Bingo Mondays at the Civic Center on F-41. Doors open at 4pm, Bingo at 6:30pm. Food available for purchase. Proceeds to Charity.

Bingo: The Sand Lake Seniors- host Bingo Tuesdays in the Sand Lake Heights Building, 4059 Indian Lake Road, National City. Doors open at 11am, Bingo starts at noon. Proceeds to the Sand Lake Seniors.

Euchre: The Alcona County Commission- on Aging hosts Euchre Day, Tuesdays beginning at 12:30pm, at the Senior Center, 207 South Church Street, Lincoln. Tickets one dollar, 10 cents per Euchre, free popcorn and coffee. Call 989-334-3466 for more information.

The Tawas Bay Ice Arena- hosts a “Geezer League” every Tuesday at 9pm, at the arena on M-55 in Tawas City. Cost is $5 and open to “old timers”. No checking, no hacks, easy pace, co-ed.
